This is another example of why the GOP shouldn’t keep sending over new CRs and new conditions. It makes the GOP look like a clown car and makes Reid look strong. A better approach IMO would be for Boehner to simply say that the House had already sent two different CRs to the Senate which would keep the government open and the House was done unless the Senate wished to negotiate with the House.

Normally, I would agree, but this new resolution is the toughest vote for Reid to get through. His members would be forced to vote for perks for their staffers. Very bad optics.
