A lot more complicated than in the olden days (before 1962) when there were 8 teams in each league and the only suspense was finding out which NL team would face the Yankees in the World Series.

Right now, Cleveland has a one-game lead on Tampa Bay and Texas, but if those teams win Sunday and the Tribe loses, we’ll have a three-way tie for the two AL wildcards. The wild-card winner plays the Boston Red Sox, while the Detroit Tigers hook up with the Oakland Athletics.

Tampa Wins, they will see more baseball.

Rangers take the lead against the Angels.

Cleveland appears to be about ready to wrap up their WC spot.
