The post war production of the Bf 109 was more due to convenient do to a large quantitie of spare parts and tooling to continue production...It was as not due to any inherent great quality. n fact the Czechoslovakian version the CS99 had to be re-engine with jumo 211 bomber engines after the stock pile of the original db605 engines were sabotage. .the resulting aircraft the CS199 was so bad it was called The Mule..its only claim to fame was it was the first fighter of the Israeli AF..and that was because it was the only thing they could buy
