Christmas shopping is already a casualty of the Obama economy. Back to school sales - the best predictor of Christmas sales - were the worst in years.
That would be Black Friday’. 3 years past and BF sales have underperformed. It will be far worse this year.
I think it may take awhile after people sign up for obamacare and will be shocked when they start to see co pays and deductibles. They will then realize there are no free lunches and the will squeal how they’ve been snookered. Then the appeal will begin to help them with these unrealized bills. Health care is complicated and someone thinks that just signing up will be the end of their woes.
I just came from WalMart ,, their seasonal area is stuffed with summer merchandise ,, gas and charcoal grills ,,, garden implements ... they’ve got to blow that out before they can put out Halloween... I’m in a good area so I’d have to say they’re screwed.
