I call environmentalists whack jobs who need to get a job to take their minds off their BS agenda.
I don’t like feminists, and I’m female.
I got flack for marrying young, having two kids in my 20s. They complained that I didn’t do enough for my career, professional development, etc.
I said I was a female engineer, often in classes with single digit female students and 50+ men. Then I worked in most male workplaces - as a woman, and later, mother.
I stalled professionally while taking breaks for kids and not travelling heavily. Fast forward a decade, and I have two kids in elementary school, while they are in their late 30s trying to have kids or find a partner or saying childlessness is just as good because they are liberated.
They never accepted my choice to be a part time employee and mother. Though there is plenty of vitriol for stay at home mothers, at least they get the support of female relatives who did the same and mothers who are also at home.
Funny how freedom to choose didn’t include balancing two worlds.
