A medical examiner near Atlanta says former San Diego Chargers safety Paul Oliver has committed suicide.
Cobb County investigators say the 29-year-old Oliver was found dead Tuesday night at his home in Marietta, about 20 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta.
Police say Oliver died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Despair can lead to suicide, even for the unrecognized father that seems to think it’s the remedy for the lost job, financial debt, humiliation, and sense of inadequacy.
I’ve never been suicidal, but financial stress completely sucks.
I really don't like that saying. I see it on almost every suicide thread here.
I'm about 20 years older than this guy, and I've been dealing with things in my head for over 30 years. Does that sound 'temporary'?

About 4 1/2 years ago, I came DAMN close. Scared me so bad I don’t have to worry about that happening anytime soon.
