I’d have to say that Texas politics are great but the state is a shithole.

I take exception to those remarks. Shoot, all your "majestic mountains" are not much more than grassy knolls compared to the Franklin Mountains in El Paso (7000 ft elev).

There's likely a whole lot of Texas that you've never seen.

Yep...I checked it out, and the highest mountain in TX is more than twice the height of the highest in MD. I learn so much here on FR...
