I was pleased to see Larry Hagman as the other guest on Late Night with Conan O’Brien when I had gotten stand by tickets for Sarah Michelle Gellar’s appearance. I enjoyed “I Dream of Jeannie” in repeats back in the 70’s. AS J. R. he was great. Rush was a “Dallas” fan as well.

Yep. And Hagman enlisted in the Air Force during the Korean War. That should count for something.

“This year, for the first time, Emmy organizers have decided to beef up the “In Memoriam” section with special tributes to five notable TV figures who died this year. The other honorees are writer-producer Gary David Goldberg, comic legend Jonathan Winters, and actors James Gandolfini and Jean Stapleton.” I bet there will be song & dance numbers or awards that could have been introduced combined .
