Friends, it's Sunday night again and time to relax. Warm up the tubes for another 4 hours of classic radio Americana.

Nothing too exotic. I lived out in the area for about a year, and had a friend who had been in the business and had a lot of connections. Got to go to a number of parties and events during that time.
Plus, I’d do things on my own. I remember when the Silent Movie Theater in Hollywood was showing a couple of obscure films starring Patsy Ruth Miller (who was the leading lady opposite Lon Chaney in 1922’s “Hunchback”), and she was going to attend. I had a nice old b&w still of Miller, and thought I should go ahead and get it autographed for the heck of it. Miss Miller sat down to sign things, but due to her arthritis, she couldn’t actually sign, but she had a stamp with accompanying stamp-pad of her signature. I went ahead and let her stamp my old still. But days passed, and the ink wouldn’t dry on the glossy still. So, I eventually just got a kleenex and wiped it off.
Oh, well. Just an example of that sort of thing!
If the response Phil Harris sent you was from him personally, I would really like to have a copy of it. I might have it framed. Let me know if I can make it worth your while.
All, I’m heading to the radio to listen to the last hour in the dark. Dangerous Game is a classic story.
