When Jayne Mansfield was in an Alfred Hitchcock show, she didn't even look like Jayne Mansfield so much so maybe we are accustomed to a certain view of her though I don't know if the different hairstyle and look make it any better to check for resemblance, perhaps a little bit.

Yes. I can see a resemblance to Mariska there. I think that they made a marketing descision the try to make up Jayne to look as much like Marilyn Monroe as they could.
