Lost in the 1950s- The Cherry Bowl Drive In
The Cherry Bowl Drive In... is located about an hour south of Traverse City on US-31, just outside of the small town of Honor [Michigan]. It is proudly family owned and operated since 1953′. A trip to The Cherry Bowl is like stepping back into the 1950s.

Re:
And the gayest album cover goes to... Whoa, fieldmarshal... guess you missed... with both 'PIANO and ORGAN STYLINGS' of GREENE and ILES
Yet, as I recall... it was a pretty cool album: SR 60099/MG 20427 - Keep It Gay: Conversational Music - Greene & Iles [1959] Eddie Greene (organ) and Stephen Iles (piano). Keep It Gay/Lazy River/I've Got The World On A String/Taboo/When It's Sleepy Time Down South/You Make Me Feel So Young//Chinatown Cha-Cha/Ja-Da/Life Is Just A Bowl Of Cherries/From This Moment On/Taking A Chance On Love/Dansero

This Drive In just won a free digital projector to allow them to continue showing movies when film is going obsolete!!

Thank you. Is that the very same Andy Griffith of Matlock and the Andy Griffith show? His voice sounds different. I suppose it’s the difference in his age and the sound equipment, but he doesn’t sound quite the same.

Anybody know the Cherry Bowl? The last movie I paid to see was at the drive in between Jonesville and Coldwater. We saw Kung Fu Panda and the last Indiana Jones movie.

Bardot I'd guess. 2nd guess would be Charro though I don't think it is her. And the woman on the album cover wears a cross, interesting. ..... Lots of interesting things here, see the album of the singer with the A-Bomb explosion. Wow. Practically all of the albums are very revealing of that time period. ..... Per another post, I'm rather sure, Jack Webb smoked on Dragnet, that was a regular thing. I almost wonder if the remark was sarcasm.

Re:
Bardot I'd guess... This album my Dad... brought back from a business trip to Paris in the 1950s and "guitare magique" is French for Magic Guitar.
And yes, it was Brigitte Bardot and... No, I cannot recall one song from it--

I had The Long Ranger Decca album and the Tom Corbett Space Cadet Album.
In odd moments, I can still sing virtually all of the Space Cadet March. Beats hip-hop.
Thanks for the fun memories.

Only someone as macho as Shatner could pull that off...

Funny! Correct me if I’m wrong, but the word “gay” had not been hijacked back then, i don’t think.

Personal first-hand observation: Shatner is 100 percent testosterone-driven dog for female babes.
Even in old koot-ness. :^)
