I once had the misfortune of suffering just such an encounter after one of my friends threatened a bouncer in a Houston strip-club back in the 70’s. Bouncer went back to the bar for some help and returned thinking that I was the culprit. Took the butt stock of that Garand right across my jaw. He lifted me off the floor by jamming the muzzle under my nose and lifting. Cops told me afterward that I was lucky the man didn’t blow my head off. I was barely 19 then and have behaved ever since.
