Drivers of front-wheel drive cars can experience a kind of deja-vu if they encounter it in a corner. As soon as they feel the car start to slip they lift their foot off the gas pedal and suddenly they’re looking at where they’ve been.

You definitely have to drive differently depending on whether your car is front or rear wheel drive. Generally the rear wheel drive car will break loose in the rear first (oversteer). With FWD it's a toss-up depending on speed, how much power is being applied and tire traction. I find the RWD tends to spin out while the FWD won't turn at all because the steering wheels have lost traction (understeer).

YMMV but I prefer the RWD, it's much more exciting to drive.
