the industry is falling on its own petard

the race to the bottom on price

turned first the components and then the units

into commodities

while the mobile business leaders focused on profit-margins

NOT low price, and with those margins kept investing

ahead of the “PC” business

there is one aspect of it all that does not make me jump for joy

all data couid be going to “the cloud” in time

making big brother (the government/NSA/tech industry partnerships) even bigger and more threatening to real Liberty

There is still a pretty good market for people who prefer to bank, e-mail and work on spreadsheets on a typical 22" desktop screen as opposed to your typical 7" tablet screen or 3" cell phone screen.

Not to mention watching streaming movies, tv shows or other unmentionables.
