Today's airport cattle calls are a far cry from when travel was exciting and fun.
“I was completely spoiled by my first plane trip, 1962, off to college in CA flying first class on TWA from Logan. Everybody, men and women, dressed to the nines. Women in dresses and heels, men in jackets and ties (including yours truly, of course).

Aw metesky,you’re making me all weepy here.Those were great days.
They even served meals on real dishes if I recall. My first flight was from Logan to OKC in 1954.We still had the blasted seams in our stockings,but we wore them because it was appropriate.I’m sitting here now in jeans and an Original Six tee.Old lady comfort.
