The catholic church in Syracuse[not the campus ministry] which adorned itself with rainbow banners, and who had gays preaching the homily from the pulpit, WILL undoubtedly celebrate a gay marriage before long. THAT is the bent of the clergy there.
I think the hope is that the Amchurch lefties are dying off. No one is going to make the Syracuse priests change, but they will be replaced.

My former Bishop, Matthew Clark, witnessed gay “unions” inside his own diocese church. The Vatican called him out on it. He had to back away from them or lose his coveted position in the church. He backed away causing a schism that lost us many souls. A priest and nun formed a new church taking with them all the faithful they could. So much for that approach. Give an inch and you lose all credibility...it is a fine line. Pope Francis will learn the hard way.
