SJ is legitimate, but its become disproportionate.
See the writing about Zacchaeus.
Thats where XS is correct, that it is disproportionate among SOME parishes.
But my point is, thats a management issue. And The Pope a tually mentioned that.
There are 3 churches close to me, one TLM, and 2 Amchurches. All affiliated with the Diocese.
2 conservative., 1, Slap happy.
The churches-5 of them within 40 miles in any direction here are very conservative, but that is likely due to the fact that three of them are in rural areas with very few people, and the other two are in a town of about 20,000. When we lived in the city, we changed churches because we didn’t like the way the priest preached a democratic party line.
You say that its a management issue as if that’s a side/extraneous issue. The problem is ITS THE MAIN POINT. Did you read fr decelles? His sermons are brilliant, and I assure you he would agree with me as to what the problem is. It’s NOT an inability to get people in the door, it’s the lack of preaching inside those churches. Pick any sermon or fathers corner from the bulletins on that website. Clarence Thomas goes to that parish, I’m sure to hear fr decelles. He is an ANOMOLY, not remotely the norm.
