I agree. As far as 'regionally famous' guys go, the late-great Danny Gatton from Maryland was incredible, and a bit more widely known, there's Fairfax, Virginia's Roy Buchanan.

And John Fahey from Takoma Park. He was as good/better than Leo Kottke. Sadly he drank excessively, often during a concert. But could he play when he put his mind to it.

Didn't read the whole list. Is Leo Kottke on it?

No. Regrettably, he is not. The list consisted mostly of the usual widely-known guitarists. And they are for the most part magnificent musicians.

However, it would be nice if some music journalists put a little more effort in to it and come up with a “Top 64 Guitarists You’ve (Probably) Never Heard Of” list.

THAT would cause some arguments.
