Regardless of what one may think of their theology, the LDS folks are wonderful resources and an inspiration in regards to prepping. ‘Been there, done that’ f0r what, five generations?. I don’t need to be a Buddhist to learn Kung Fu :-)
LDS is a real stress test for Christian theology. By preaching a Christ at far less than His actual power (he’s God not just a spirit brother) they openly invite impostor spirits. But it’s not impossible in principle for Christ to put in an appearance to Mormons anyhow, based on the name. It’s not man’s theologies that make God who God is. God is the “I AM” not the “MADE BY MEN.” One would have to exercise great spiritual discernment when dealing with individual Mormons because of these two possibilities. Generally if one does accept the real Christ, he or she soon discovers his or her Lord won’t fit into the Mormon theology and will leave for, typically, a trinitarian evangelical church (though Roman Catholic or even Orthodox is possible).
So what does that have to do with prepping. Dunno. Maybe that’s just my rant. I do have a bit of an axe to grind about not throwing babies out with bath waters.
