At least she was not standing on the corner in Winslow, Arizona.

I just forwarded a copy of her picture to the sheriff in Winslow. He'll arrest her if she ever sets foot in that town.

I highly recommend a visit to the Standin' On A Corner Park in Winslow. It consists of a statue of a man, with a red flatbed Ford on the corner. There's a great Mexican restaurant nearby, and it's right on the original Route 66.

We stopped there this summer while on vacation. I've got more memories out of that two weeks than I can count. It was a roadtrip with my 11 YO son that went from Dallas to Las Vegas via Southern Utah.

Did the obligatory motorcycle trip down Rt 66 back during the summer of 1970 (queasy rider.)

Winslow was not much back then, but I guess the song has kept the town from vanishing. What a song it is.
