I suppose some local lads were simply bored and thought to terrorize a poor defenceless pet to while away some time, but I am seething nonetheless. They may think it just a bit of fun, but history has proven time and again that those who are so uncaring as to mistreat even a small animal eventually become sociopaths of the worst sort.

Granted, this is not near what has happened to some pets in the past, but even taking that into consideration the fact that some individuals cared less for the welfare of some poor trusting animal than their own amusement does not bode well for their actions in times to come.

That saddens me, and I’m not even known to be a Cat person. Cats can be good pals though, almost like a dog. Any animal deserves better, especially a pet, who trusts and expects to be well treated. If this happens again, I predict, the culprit will be found. Maybe the next cat won’t be so docile. Maybe somebody is seen in the emergency room with ‘mysterious’ cat bites all over their face and their fingers. Poetic Justice! That is my wish.
