Duke was my soph phys-ed coach in high school. I vividly remember his gathering us around (in 1966) to announce that he was being recalled to active duty. Later, I read about his ace status in Stars and Stripes on Oki, while I was in the Corps. (I was perhaps the only one in my class to enlist.)
Still later, Congressman Cunningham talked about his dogfight on the Discovery Channel...
