My friend is a college English professor.
She says that she has students who are top of their high school class, who can not wrote a coherent paragraph.
(She has said they all know how not to get pregnant and all about man made global warming. She has said each year the quality of students lowers, not blaming them but liberals)
[She says that she has students who are top of their high school class, who can not wrote a coherent paragraph.]
I also can’t wrote a coherent paragraph even if I knew how to spell it correctly.
25-30 years ago the reverse was true (K-12 taught the basics; professors taught PC).
I love stories like this. We’ll hear statistics, studies and research promising us that things are getting better. But one kid with excellent grades who can’t write, or doesn’t know what 7×9 is, gives away the whole game.
Tell your friend I’d like to have a whole bunch of these stories. Or maybe she could write an article and I’ll publish it anonymously for her, on edarticle.com, etc.
Please tell her about the cfp article. Basically, I’m trying to embarrass college professors into getting more involved.
I have spoken to many grade and middle school teachers, now retired, who said that this has been going on since the early 70’s.
Oddly enough, this is NOT Obama’s Fault.
