Just for your future reference, the proper verb conjugation is “no comprendo ingles”, which means “I don’t understand English”. “Comprende” means he or she doesn’t understand.

If you’re going to respond in Spanish on the phone that you don’t understand English, it would be a good idea for you to know how to speak Spanish properly first.

Well thats the verbiage I’ve heard from many illegal immigrants that I’ve tried to interview; I don’t recall hearing an “o” at the end of the word; sounded more like an “e” to me. Obviously I’m not Hisspanic.
