It’s most likely the American Community Survey which is mandatory. But listen to all Freepers who will cite the constitution on 10 year survey. This replaced what used to be called the Long Form.

Btw, the constitution says nothing about a speed limit but there are laws against speeding.

Can you point to single soul who has ever been prosecuted for telling them to stuff it?

Did taking money from the fedgov in return for your helping with the census color your viewpoint on the legitimacy of it?

Just curious.

If they want to make me the first-ever guy prosecuted for refusing I’ll tell them to “go ahead, make Sean Hannity’s day”.

The 55MPH limit on interstates and other such roads was not federal law.

The feds never made that a law, they simply said, “Fine, you want a speed limit over 55MPH, okay, then we will withhold all those federal highway funds.”

Coercion, not law.

Well Constitution 101! Most speeding laws are at the State level because WE THE PEOPLE decided to assign that task to the State. In NYS 65 is the State limit and I know other states have a higher limit.

A case can be made we never gave the Federal Government ANY authority to regulate speed.

There are millions of things not in the Constitution and if we had honest politicians and lawyers (impossible I know) only those things we decide to allow the Fed to do are legal. If we do not agree and the Constitution is silent WE THE PEOPLE still have authority.

Unfortunately, the bastards in our education system have creating this concept of Case Law to give government powers they were never entitled to by legislation.
