LOL.

In HS (the 60s) I was the 2nd pole vaulter on our track team for one reason only. Most schools had only 1 vaulter, many of our meets were only two schools.

Each event awarded 1st, 2nd & 3rd place points. So, my job was to get that 3rd place point. Which I sometimes did with a hair raising vault of 3 or sometimes even 4 ft! It was so funny.

Maybe there's a sneaky streak of anarchy in me, but it gives me a chuckle to hear about someone using the rules to game the system. Eddie made me laugh AND made the pompous IOC look like fools. I salute him, you, and this uzbeki girl for your ingenuity!
