I ‘hate’ to keep hearing about how old Scully is and them compounding on how long he has been broadcasting.
He was one of my first of many ‘decisions’.
I heard his inaugural broadcast and remember commenting (in all my 11 years wisdom etc, after all WHO could replace Red, Harwell and Connie Desmond) that he would NEVER make it, NOBODY could remove Red from his ‘catbird seat’ and the golden tones of ‘the BIG H in the Schaeffer sign lights up’
