Women need to be taught at a young age that their self protection is up to them, so it is essential that they be armed in public, and just as important that if attacked, they do not brandish to “chase away”, but use their weapon against their attacker, to protect other women as well.
Such teaching should not be demanded by the law, but incorporated into female culture as a given. Taught by mothers and sisters, and supported by their peers and other women.
When attacked by a gang of feral beasts only a gun would have helped. I am not so sure that that is legal in Delaware
