A few notes of praise first...I got a new wheelchair, and I got a new shower transfer bench. I can take showers on my own now and I don’t have to worry about hiding from the supply company trying to take the wheelchair anymore! God is good, and so are precious friends.

Now for the prayer needs...Yikes, it’s getting scary! My trial for the spinal cord stimulator is going to be next Tuesday, the 17th. It was recommended to just TRY to unit so we could tell SSI “I tried it, and it did/didn’t work.” The first part will be “does the unit work while I am on the table”. If no...it’s removed and the trial is over. If yes, on to the second part...the unit is taped down, the battery is put on a belt type strap that is worn around my waist and I come home with a hand-held control device to turn it on/off and increase or lower the power (at least that is what I think it is for). If I agree it is doing better for me, they remove the trial unit, send me home and make an appointment for the permanent unit to be implanted, anchored and the battery pack implanted in the back of the hip. It’s reversible, it can be removed...though there are dangers to removing it after it’s been in for a while. The other option is an ITP...a pain pump, implantedin my abdomen, but it also has a lead that goes in the spinal column to administer medication. The patient has to go to the doctor about 1 time a month to have the medicine replenished by the doctor inserting a needle, into the box and refilling the medication. One fear for that...what if they mess up and inject the medicine directly into me...and I am overdosed? Anyone heard of this happening?

Please, pray for income for me...I have filed for SSI, but it’s been 6 months and I haven’t heard anything back. I was hoping it would be approved in time for Christmas and Crystal’s birthday in January, and Cody’s birthday in February...but without a Christmas miracle, that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.

I got my miracle by receiving my medical equipment...the chair and the shower bench. Cody and Crystal know that this year isn’t looking good, but I cry (Crystal is living under a bridge in Savannah Georgia) They tried to live in a home with an older man who said he needed help with the bills and offered them a room, but they found out he was a sex-offender and he started making advances on her and they RAN, and now live under the bridge.

Cody has an appointment in February for his Rheumatoid Arthiritis and lymes disease, that was the earliest they could get him in...the PCP tried a steroid pack to calm his pain, but it didn’t help, and his pain is getting out of control. It’s hard to watch your child cry in pain nearly every day.

God Bless you all for your awesome prayers. I pray you all have a blessed and very Merry Christmas.

Holiday loves to my friends!
