WHAT???! Have those “pastors” never read the Bible???
Matthew 25:31

trussell, I think you’re better off without that church. Seriously.
The hearts of many pastors are about the institution and their salaries, and not for the Lord or His people.
Is there another church you can reach out to? You are in a small rural town, right? I know first-hand how hard it can be to find a good church in a rural town. Sometimes there just isn’t one. Can you think of a church you might contact?
trussell, there just has to be a FReeper somewhere around there who could help you, even if just for a weekend. Is there any way to get the word out to more of the FR community?

I don’t know what their belief is, but it was crazy getting that call and hearing a pastor say those words against me. He said I posted a comment on the church wall saying I bad things about the church...which is not true. I posted to my own wall that I needed a ride to the store and couldn’t get hold of anyone from my church, and posted a prayer request to the church wall asking for prayer that my condition is made better. The pastor deleted me from the church wall, taking my prayer request away. I felt betrayed!
As for finding a new church, this is Georgia...there are many, many churches here, including 5 Baptist churches just in this small town. I’m sure I can find one that will take us in and treat us with compassion and love...and that we can be a part of a true church family that we can share the love and compassion we have to share.
