Do some research.

Ligers are larger than both parent species because of a quirk of genetics. Tigers inherit the size restriction genes from the male, lions from the female. Thus ligers, the result of a tigress bred to a male lion, are larger and tigons, the result of a lioness bred to a male tiger, are average to smaller, inheriting at least one functioning gene to control their growth.

Do some opening yur eyes.

Didn’t say the cat was fake, just the trick photog used to “enhance” its comparative size and not too well done by the way.
