I'm told there were 2 million patriots on motorcycles around Washington DC yesterday.
Unusually for me I watched several "news" programs in the hope of seeing any coverage of this event.
There was no, none, nada bit of coverage of any such event.
Therefore, it never happened.
They were willing to cover if before the ride, so they could crow about how few showed up later.
When a million or so actually did show up, it became a non-story.
Fox reported it as “thousands”, other outlets didn’t report it at all.
Bret Baer had it as his 3rd item last night on Fox News Special Report
Even FReepers pay more attention to soap opera shows like Breaking Bad than this event.
You can bet the politicos in DC knew about it. Not televising it won’t make Patriots go away, it will just keep the uninformed - uninformed.
They now know we are waking up; that the “red line” draws close...
Awesome.
I have yet to see a photo of the Muslim March showing a Mid East Muslim transplant; I saw a bunch of Haters.
Good. Thanks.
The problem is that some people say 800,000 and some say 2,000,000. If someone would have some accuracy perhaps they could write a story. Facts are important and when nobody has accurate facts it makes it impossible to write a story at least in liberal land.
Oh really? Nowhere in this Fox News Alert that takes place during the ride does Martha McCallum use "thousands". She uses words like "big", "folks cheering them on all along the side of the road" and "impressive turnout".
Let's give credit when credit is due.
Hmmm, not one single reporter got up in a helicopter with her cameraman....unusual.....
On one of the youtubes linked on this thread the number was indeed given as “thousands”
love that graphic
I don’t doubt that for a minute. My point is simply that there was positive coverage as the event unfolded. We shouldn’t ignore it.
“The most insidious power the media has, is the power to ignore.” (Chris Plante, WMAL)
We are going to impose our agenda on the coverage, by dealing with issues and subjects that we choose to deal with. - Richard Cohen, Senior Producer, CBS Political News
Our job is to give people not what they want, but what we decide they ought to have.” -Richard Salant, former president of CBS News
Agreed, credit where due. Having only one TV I missed the Fox coverage and therefore only commented on the coverages I saw.
It simply never happened according to the multiple stations/networks I watched.
Really? The MSM would have a feeding frenzy if the bikers were supporting some leftist cause that fitted neatly into their agenda, regardless of what the numbers were. Think of Occupy Wall Street, for example. Remember them?
Only covered on FOX.
Yes, FOX covered in every hour I saw. Even The Five.
Geez, not true. FOX covered it in every hour that I watched including The Five & Special Report.
Yes I figured Fox would cover it, so I concentrated on the other networks, I saw NO coverage whatsoever.
