So why is she admitting it now? Just broke down under police questioning? I admit that story isnt a very good one as it depends on no witnesses seeing them together.

A better lie would have been to say that they were hiking together and he just disappeared.

She sent some texts to friends just prior to the crime, which contradicted her version of events.
