A surprising number of people know who John Galt is-I had an animated conversation with the manufacturer’s rep of a green construction product we are going to use-he’d just read the book for the first time, and we exchanged ideas on going Galt in our respective states...

I think you would enjoy “This Perfect Day”-it is shorter-317 pages-the way the different characters deal with the sudden discovery of the “real world” is interesting, and the just revenge taken by the hero is pleasing in that savage way of movies where you cheer the destruction of the evil-doers. Plus the relationship of Chip and Lilac is a non-smarmy, realistic love story...
