back in the 1950s if I were to get out of line in the Catholic parochial school I went to, the nuns would kick my ass.
If my dad found out that the nun kicked my ass? I would get another whoopin when I got home.
keeps you civil in class it does.
I don’t know the situation. the story is murky. but It sounds like the parent is as out of control as her spawn.

The most dreaded words a kid could hear back in the 50s/60s ..."Wait 'til your father gets home!"
To this day, I still wince when I hear a belt coming off a pair of pants.

Ha, no kidding. I had those same nuns. I was an A student because the Catholic parochial school I went to expected excellence, and in general I feared for my life if I got out of line with the nuns.
