Gonna text a pic of cabinets with granite so far
I am making my incredible pizza stuffed mushrooms for dinner - you can stuff small mushrooms but I bought large Portabellas - you mix cream cheese (I’m using jalapeno flavored), chopped pepperoni, cooked sausage(I buy already cooked crumbles from Jimmy Dean), and chopped black olives... mix in a little shredded cheese (I’m using smoked gouda) pile the toppings on the portabella and pour some marinara sauce all around and bake for about 30 minutes or until the mushrooms are soft.
Oh good!
That sounds soooooo good!
That sounds soooooo good!
It was fantastic
We were gypped. Our upper cabinets are only 11” deep and the lower ones are 22”. I guess if I had more room, I’d cram more stuff in them so it’s just as well.
Naaah. Its like the pantry. Stuff gets in the back, and gets lost forever.
The only way to make it workable is to make it like those corner cabinets where the shelf is a large lazy susan.
How many plates, bowls, glasses can you store up top? I serve 8 nightly and still have stuff that never gets touched.
Cookware storage is the most important thing....seems like you can never have enough space for that.
Hm. Should have tweeted it. jA.
She did tweet it. She was speaking “woman talk.” ;-)
So you know the stereotype is that Asian drivers are horrible? Well one of those stereotypes hit the one week old highlander. Back right fender quarter panel. The couple behind me stopped and offered their info as witnesses.I was entering parking garage and she came at me from my right and did not stop. Infuriating. I approached for her info she NEVER exited her red Prius to see what her own damage was.
Oh, good grief, what rotten luck! Was she passing you on the right, or just careless?
My dad had me firmly convinced of Asian driver syndrome, even as a child-it was an epidemic near certain military bases-both my first husband and MrT5 were also believers.
I got hit once by one of those stereotypes about 15 years ago near LAFB-she ran into the back of my 4X4-a Suburban-and raced off, but like you, I was lucky, and the guy behind me stopped to be a witness. I was all for hunting the creature down and kicking her ass, but reason prevailed.
The woman’s car was spotted almost immediately-she’d gone into the Jenny Craig place a few blocks away-the damage done to the front of her Camry by the trailer hitch was a dead giveway, but she still insisted she had no idea what the cop was talking about. I hope the damage to your vehicle isn’t too extensive, and can be quickly fixed.
That’s a shame.
The silver lining is that you will no longer have to worry about putting that first scratch on it.
We were talking about that at work yesterday, about how those stereotypes prove themselves. One of the men said after being over in those countries and seeing how they drive, he understands why they drive that way here. It is every man for himself, all the time.
I was entering the garage and she was exiting a travel lane of parking, to exit the garage where i was just coming in. She was coming dead for me at a t-bone angle, i blew the horn bc she was not looking like she was going to stop, and proceeded. Had she even SLOWED down, she would never have hit me, but like the guy behind me said, she didn’t even tap the brakes and looked like she was TRYING to hit me!
She wasn’t foreign, she was American-born, had Coach sunglasses and a nice car etc. No accent. But the fact that she never even got out to see what had happened to her own car was mindboggling to me. and yes, Soother, it does take the edge off putting a scratch on it. My parking garage guy noticed it first thing and was very upset about it for me!
This girlie never set foot in an Asian country, so there’s no excuse there. We once saw a jeep parked on our street that had a bumper sticker saying< Watch out, i’m an asian driver!
Were you still on the road and she came out of the garage and hit you? Or were you turning in as she was turning out?
This all took place on mall property, no public roads. i entering the mall parking garage, immediately as you enter, there is a travel lane for parking to your right, she was exiting down that lane, saw me dead ahead of her. Had she even tapped the breaks she would not have hit me. The insurance asked if i noticed if she was using a cellphone or distracted. i said i have no idea, but if she was paying attention there was no way for her to miss me. it wasn’t dark, the garage is open to the outside and it was daylight. Neither of us was turing, the entrance was straight in and she was coming down to exit where i was coming in, but the two lanes are 90 degree angle. She would have had to wait for me to pass to exit where i was coming in. There was no question of whose TURN it was, because i was already there when she was approaching to exit.
i guess in order to better picture it— i was coming in and that lane proceeded to the back of the garage. off to the right side of that lane were three travel lanes with parking, she was coming down the very first travel lane, the one closest to the entrance. But all three lanes come at a 90 deg angle to the lane i was in. I
Gotcha.
I really hope that woman learns to be more careful, but I doubt it-people who ignore their surroundings are a breed all their own...
I hate parking garages-there just seem to be so many ways to get hit there-I sort of creep into them with senses on hyper-alert, lights on and my hand poised to hit the horn...
