Formula 1: New Jersey race dropped from draft 2014 calendar
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/23974794
Plans for a new grand prix overlooking New York City have been dropped from the draft 2014 calendar.
The race in New Jersey is replaced by a proposed event in Mexico City, which last hosted Formula 1 in 1992.
A race in the Russian city of Sochi and the return of the Austrian Grand Prix make up a 21-race schedule circulated by F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone.
The season is due to start in Australia on 16 March and end at Interlagos in Brazil on 30 November.

MONZA!!!!
bobbIE?................NNNOOOOOOOO!!! (That is how the tide box, bumper car NASCAR gomers spell it!!!!) Yeah, I never thought the NY thing was gonna fly either. Just add another trip to Spa at both the start and end of the year and this old boy would be happy!
two at Spa would get my vote too
Ah, for the good ol’ days when della Roggia and Ascari were turns instead of chicanes...
...when things got ugly then, they were ugly a long time
I have ATT U Verse and because speed channel folded, had to watch the last race on one of the spanish channels. It sucks.
A Mexico City street course could be cool. I love the Monaco race and download old ones from time to time just to watch them.
If you’re not opposed to torrents, you can usually find full BBC or Sky Sports broadcasts with no commercials, and practice and qualifying, too.
Speed Channel folded? I thought they were just having some peeing contest with Direct.
Guess they needed more that Barret-Jackson to pay the bills.
