'Charlie' a Freemason spokesman, said the man renting the lodge told the Freemasons he would be hosting a dance party.
The Freemasons said they checked on the party about 1am on Sunday and found nothing suspicious.
However, when officers arrived a little more than an hour later, they found debauchery, police sources told WWMT.

2 B 1, Ask 1.
For me, the two on the ends are always going in opposite directions, but I can’t make ajacent pairs go opposite.
That could be looked as an ask for your offer.
Don’t you agree?
Or perhaps you have super secret information and really, no intention of divulging it.
Feel free to disabuse me.
“I could point you to a freemason information site that does not back away from the problem of Shriners/Jesters identifying with Freemasons.”

The problem is that you’re smearing Freemasonry by association because of the very unmasonic acts of those in other bodies.
Most Freemasons are not Shriners. The Shriners were primarily founded for activities where alcohol could be served because masonic lodges are “dry.” Later, Shriners adopted a charitable purpose too as is demonstrated in their hospitals, etc. That a few of its members should go rogue doesn’t mean the entire organization is bad. And frankly, their “parties” look more like an AARP meeting than debauchery.
The Jesters are an invitation-only group of wealthy men, and are not recognized as masonic in most places, including where I am a Freemason. At one time, the Jesters had a good reputation, and even had a U.S. President (Ford) as a member before the organization went off the rails into what it has become today.
To play the smear by association game is easy. It is done every day by the Democrats to conservatives and libertarians. There are trolls and a few others who post things on Free Republic (before getting banned) that the overwhelming majority of FReepers oppose. Yet playing the smear by association game, you could just as easily be tagged as holding the beliefs simply by being a FReeper.
Let’s play another smear by association game to show how absurd it is. The Catholic Church has had a problem with gay and pedophile priests. The Knights of Columbus is affiliated with the Catholic Church. Following the smear by association rules, does that mean all men in the Knights of Columbus are gay pedophiles? Of course not. Nor are the Knights responsible for misconduct of those priests either.
Let go of the hate. Freemasonry is filled with good men striving to be better. A few bad apples should not be used to tarnish any organization.
What the hell is that stupid response meant to represent? You,?
Thnx
I’d blame it on the secret handshakes. I bet there were plenty of secret handshakes going on between one am and two am.

“That which we must say to a crowd is - We worship a God, but it is the God that one adores without superstition.
To you, Sovereign Grand Inspectors General, we say this, that you may repeat it to the Brethren of the 32nd, 31st, and 30th degrees - The Masonic Religion should be, by all of us initates of the high degrees, maintained in the purity of the Luciferian Doctrine.
If Lucifer were not God, would Adonay whose deeds prove his cruelty, perdify and hatred of man, barbarism and repulsion for science, would Adonay and his priests, calumniate him?
Yes, Lucifer is God, and unfortunately Adonay is also god. For the eternal law is that there is no light without shade, no beauty without ugliness, no white without black, for the absolute can only exist as two gods: darkness being necessary to the statue, and the brake to the locomotive.
Thus, the doctrine of Satanism is a heresy; and the true and pure philosophical religion is the belief in Lucifer, the equal of Adonay; but Lucifer, God of Light and God of Good, is struggling for humanity against Adonay, the God of Darkness and Evil.”

As I explained before, there is no higher degree in Freemasonry than Master Mason (the Third Degree). Additional degrees conferred by appendant bodies are not higher. At best, they are supplementary. Some are voluntary. Others are by invitation only.
In addition, Pike was one Freemason who is long dead. He does not speak for all Freemasons on any topic.
Next, let’s consider context.
Were you aware that the term “Lucifer” comes from the Latin term for “Light-Bearer”? That it also means “Son of the Morning” or “Light of the Morning”? Did you know it was first used this way in the 5th Century in the Latin Bible (the Vulgate)? Hint: It did not refer to the Devil.
Do you know who first started to use the term “Lucifer” to describe the Devil? Poets Dante and Milton hundreds of years later. Talk about poetic license.
Before you twist the words of one man out of context to damn Freemasonry, educate yourself.
Otherwise, you will sound as ignorant as the man who thinks a 19th Century “liberal” is the same as today’s “liberal.”
Words change meaning over time, and not necessarily for the better.
Smears? What do you call it when the issue is raised publicly by one of your brothers?

You sound less like someone willing to learn than a person who is hellbent on a vendetta against Freemasonry.
I am not a member of the Jesters.
Most Shriners are not Jesters.
Most Freemasons are not Shriners.
Just because some Jesters do something wrong has absolutely nothing to do with Freemasonry as a whole. The Grand Lodges do not control the behavior (good or bad) of other organizations. At best, they can refuse to recognize some of them (such as the Jesters).
I could set up a organization tomorrow and call it the Polygamist Clowns of Pope Francis and limit membership to Knights of Columbus. Doesn’t mean the Knights of Columbus, the Pope, or the Catholic Church endorses the organization or polygamy.
Let go of your hate. It is misplaced.
There are some 20,000 plus members.
Their acts are of collusion and disgrace.
They will be put ti Masonic trial.
Believe me, after a trial they’ll be in plenty of pain while they endure their criminal trial, already shamed, their humiliation. of banishment will be made worse as their acts are brought to light.
Surely you don’t think some majority of that appendage body represents anything more than the sole responsibility. For their personal acts.
That doesn’t damn all of the jesters nor masonry any more than a few priests are emblamatic of the entire priesthood .
What’s with the ‘let go of the hate’ mantra? You sound like the leftist counter-demonstrators from years gone by.
Can I make that observation or would it be called a smear?
In my previous post I asked ‘What do you call it when the issue is raised publicly by one of your brothers?’ and you avoided the question.
I’m feeling more respect for Mr. Hodapp than for you right now. The subject didn’t prevent him from facing the harsh truth. He even sounded like a concerned adult while reporting/commenting on the story.
From http://freemasonsfordummies.blogspot.com/2009/05/federal-probe-of-jesters-expands.html
None of this would be notable as far as Masonry is concerned if the Jesters were not connected to the Shrine, and the Shrine to Freemasonry. Face it. For over a hundred years, the Shrine has been the playground of Masonry, and has reveled in, and encouraged, its public image as a bunch of big-drinking, stripper-slapping, fez-wearing party animals, who engage in such behavior for the good cause of the hospitals. AND THAT’S FINE. The Shrine is what it is. But to tell a man, on the one hand, that the Shrine is one more logical step for a Freemason to take, and then, on the other hand, to bring on the hookers, absolutely flies in the face of Masonic obligations. To fill the Blue Lodge with lofty lectures of morality and virtue, then to guard the door of the Shrine with off-duty cops and tell new candidates, “What happens here stays here,” is the worst kind of hypocrisy. It throws mud on Freemasonry...

And, imo, it also lends credence to the wariness non-Freemasons have based on hear-say or something they’ve read about the differences of esoteric and exoteric Masonry.
There’s a couple of words that haven’t changed their meaning over the years. And yet, something tells me you’re going to say they’re outdated concepts.
No sweat off my nose. But you should understand that your hyper defensive attitude makes me think that you, unlike Mr. Hodapp, are hiding something you think needs protecting.
Have a pleasant evening.
“Ain’t that a dob, boy?!”
“More proof that nothing good happens after 2am.”
Sounds like everything good happens after 2:00am!!
You’re engaging in accusations not germain to the duscussion and bit of two stepping.
I know of no mason who will approve the antics these men engaged in, particularly because of the level crime, moral hazard, obfuscation and supressio.
The problem isn’t the issue as you objectify it(not sure you mean to) but, these men who swore an oath to each other. They are also reminded at each meeting how they ought to conduct themselves toward brothers and their fellow man.
They are not free to engage in behavior that would disgrace another man, diminish and embarass the lodge, fraternity and their families.
They broke the laws of our government and the fraternity.
They will be punished twice in masonic court and again under our judicial system.
The loss of their membership will be particularly brutal for them as friends, men they spent years developing deep relationships, charge and try them.
What’s more fk’d up about seeing all your friends prosecute you? The oain they will cause in the same men who’s charge it will become their responsibility to see through.
Those men will have to go home sullen, shaken and broken hearted. Their families will be confused and hurt as those men go through the wide range of emotions but, unable to discuss lodge business with even their wives.
Again , the problem is these men and what they did as reflects to Masonry, not that Masonry made this possible.
