VICTORVILLE (CBSLA.com) A golfer and a teen were caught on camera in the middle of a brawl at a country club in Victorville earlier this week.
The video, which has been posted online, shows an adult golfer throwing a young boy to the ground and forcing him into a headlock at Spring Valley Lake Country Club.
At one point, five men can be seen standing around while the teen is tackled.
Bryan Price told KCAL9s Adrianna Weingold that he took out his cellphone and started rolling when the fight broke out Tuesday.
I was shocked. I wanted to jump on (the older man) and hit him so bad, but I thought if I (took video), itd probably go farther, he said.
Price said the golfer was angry because the teens were riding their bikes through the golf course, so he took his friends bike.
The older man had let (the bike) down, and pushed (my friend) in the bushes, and started throwing punches at him, he said.
Art Lozano said his son saw the whole incident unfold.
An adult doesnt touch a kid thats 14 years old. Thats wrong, he said.
Several club members said the teens regularly ride through the course, bothering golfers.
Byron Smith, who knows the golfer in the video, said the man took the bike because the teen was trespassing and he was trying to hold him until security came.
The kid started swinging the bike around and he punched one of the members in the back of the head. Then it turned into a physical thing, he said.
The boys were cited for trespassing since they were on private property.
As for the golfer involved in the assault, sheriffs said the investigation is ongoing and they havent identified him just yet.
Poor little High Desert barbarian.
let me be the first to ask... Amish?
Woudn’t it have been easier just to take a mulligan?
“Get off my fairway!”
Video at link. Not Amish; just a regular ol' punk.
“But if kill all the golfers, then they’ll lock me up and throw away the key.”
Which one is happy gilmore?
Five iron where the sun don’t shine!
One of the golfers said the teen struck another golfer on the back of the head.
Oh wait — this is a teen — teens never do anything bad — they are always innocent — the adult is always at fault — because everything a teen and his friends say can be believed.
A grown man (even an old man) beating a teen for punishment isn’t good. However, self-defense still applies.
Throwing the teens bike in the pond might be a better response.

till the teen comes back next time with a pistol and throws the old man in the pond. if some punk hit one of my friends in the back of the head , I’d of caved his head in with a seven iron..... nah probably my one iron since I don’t ever use it.
The one interviewed looks more like Napoleon Dynamite to me. It is news when an adult has the guts to stand up to a punk.
The kid was 14; since when does a grown man attack a 14 year old for riding his bike on a golf course? The correct action for a man is to call security, not assault somebody decades younger.
Luckily, the golfer in question was a girly-man and got his jollies wrestling around on the ground. Love the image of the rest of those overweight "athletes" standing around and watching.
Looking at the video, it appears the golfer was trying to restrain him, and the boy was trying to get out of there.
This makes sense to me. Wicked teens trying to be pestiferous to golfers, probably not knowing that a lot of golfers are “Type A” personalities that take their game very seriously, especially if bets are involved. And golf is about like poker as far as gambling goes.

Put yourself in their shoes. You are playing a $50 a hole game, and you are probably behind when some punk kids makes you blow a shot. Losing half a dozen C-notes because some kid wants to be a jerk could make a lot of people vexed.
The two kids are lucky they pulled this s*** in California. If they tried this stunt on some courses in North Jersey both would have ended up like Spider in Goodfellas.
First they came for the golfers, and I...
Your suggestion that somebody call security is, well, silly (as well as ineffective). The trespasser would be long gone by the time security got there.
Your characterization of this as an "assault" is a stretch of the word and, at least to this point, the responding officers didn't see it that way either ... the adult was not ticketed.
There was no beating. Watch the video.
