I vaguely remember the chrystal blue persuasion song playing in one episode and remember thinking how awesome it was

That was season 5, episode 8. The one where they get into the fumigation business. That was the best episode so far. Everything flowed. They played crystal blue persuasion while Walt and Todd are cranking out batch after batch of meth until finally Skyler shows Walt the pile of money and asks when will it be big enough. It ended with Hank finding Leaves of Grass in the bathroom. That whole episode was like a ballet, it was so perfectly choreographed.

The other thing I still wonder about is that in the first episode of this 'season when Walt was buying the machine gun he was driving a Volvo with the NH “Live Free or Die” license plates. When he showed up at his house to retrieve the ricin, he was driving a different car. I wonder if they will show when he switched or if it was a mistake.

I think you missed the fact that the Cadillac with the M60 machine gun in the trunk was part of the deal. Walt abandoned the Volvo in the Denny's parking lot and left with the Caddy. He pulls up in front of his condemned house in the Caddy to retrieve the ricin.

Wow! What a battle, all those shots and nobody doa yet. Does Hank buy it? Marie knows he’s with WW.

I was a little surprised at the gun battle

All those shots with hank and his partner standing in the open and no one seemed to be hit?

oh is that the one??? wow - a lot happened in that episode.. I only recalled Hank finding the book, because it was so earth shattering

Hanks partner seems to be not so 100% on hanks side anymore, did anyone notice that? He said “boss or no boss, I’m going to [do somehting on his own]” (I forget what)

in case he had to leave a clue as to the location of the money in case of his death?

I am still holding out for those numbers being the winning lottery number and so that gets them all ‘cover’ for having so much money

I did. An office buddy and Semper Fi(Freeper) reminded of this fact yesterday. I replied with the fact that is why I like to watch each episode twice so that I pick up on details I missed the first time around.

Or as my father in law says: “It sucks getting old, but it beats the alternative.”

I think I must be getting the initial stages of CRS.

Gomey has always been a by-the-book guy. He’s let Hank have more rope than he’s comfortable with, that’s for sure.

Exactly why they are both going to die. They went off (to)the reservation(pun intended).

Especially since the same redneck crew wiped out the other gang in a 30 second fire fight.

Nah. Jesse is sitting in the passenger seat of Walt's Chrysler 300C SRT8 (one of the fastest stock vehicles currently on the market), the keys are in the ignition, and Jesse is not in handcuffs, as he should have been.

Jesse is going to clamber into the driver's seat, crank her up, back up up to where Hank and Gomey are hiding behind their SUV, yell to them to get in, and hightail it out of their with no chance of the redneck cartel catching up with them.

And as far as that being improbable with all the lead flying around, there has already been a lot of lead flying around and nobody has been hit.

Once Jesse, Hank and Gomey are gone, Walt is the hostage of the redneck cartel.

I disagree. Hank and Gomey are no longer valuable to Jesse. He is going to leave them holding the bag. In his mind Mr. White is winning again.

Then you totally miss who Jesse is. He isn’t Walt. He actually cares about people he’s not related to. Jesse will not leave Hank and Gomey to die. The Mexico escape with Gustafo Fring and Mike Ehrmantraut foreshadows this.

Naw. He was bonded to Mike and even some to Gus. Hank is just using him with no faith. He calls him demeaning names and belittles him - in typical Hank style.

For all the hype, so far it’s just boring crap - As The World Turns...on meth.

True. Not really my thing but at this point about anything is possible. BTW if you cannot win a gunfight with an AA12 you may want to reconsider your career choice.

BTW Mrs. Mad thinks Skylar will off Jesse in the end.

Walt shuts the door with it still beeping.

Excellent detail! So maybe the keys Gomey took from Walt are for the car wash -- soda machine, etc.

Man oh man was I wrong about my predictions of Jesse's plan to get to Walt "where he really lives." I knew only Walt knew where the money was and I could not conceive a way to bring it back into the story.

There is really no way to make predictions about this storyline. Vince Gilligan has made it his life's work to be unpredictable. And he certainly is that.

I think Jesse and Hank and Gomey make it to the end, as well as Skyler and Walt, Jr. I fear for Holly.

The ricin is for Lydia, and maybe Todd since he likes tea too. The M60 is for the redneck cartel.

I figured from the title of the episode, To'hajiilee, that we would be returning to the spot on the Indian reservation where the money was buried. I had to look up To'hajiilee to come to that conclusion, though.
