I guessed that as soon as the news article refused to identify the race.

-- I guessed that as soon as the news article refused to identify the race. --

Maybe the reality is now being allowed to come out of the closet, as this article mentioned the race of the arrestees.

Witnesses ran to help the woman and one man said he watched as the three young black girls, ages 14, 15 and 16, were arrested.

That "ethnic intimidation" thing got my attention. Looked it up, and it appears to be an offense in some states. It's not as serious as felony battery, which is what these criminals committed.

An upside to an ethnic intimidation charge if it had been done in Michigan, is that damages (including emotional distress) are tripled in a civil action, plus the plaintiff is awarded the cost of mounting the civil complaint. Sue the kids and their parents into bankruptcy.

No such bonus in Pennsylvania's Ethnic intimidation - 18 Pa. Cons. Stat. Sec. 2710.

From the article:

Their race is actually identified in this article, for once:

“Witnesses ran to help the woman and one man said he watched as the three young black girls, ages 14, 15 and 16, were arrested.”
