Gee I wish we would have an active space exploration program again.
Leaving aside its potential military importance, I just have a real soft spot for a space program where we would go to other roundish surfaces and hopefully colonize, settle there. And we’d learn a lot more, too.
I guess I have a bit of the Dreamer in me.
ha!
Anyway, the Chinese, the Japanese, and others are still working on it. Do we want to be earth-bound when our good Chinese friends have colonized the moon and Mars and...and...?
Obama will never allow a serious space program to be restarted. There are serious side-effects to one. Increased employment, reduced welfare recipients, national pride and encouragement for educational excellence that would force the members of the teachers unions to work for a living.
