(Actually, a pretty good "Thriller" episode.)
Never mind that thousands of people pass through Red Square daily. Never mind that rain can wash the virus into the drinking water. Never mind that the streets are cleaned with nothing more than brooms and dustpans by the more susceptible elderly. Never mind that pets may chew on the deseased birds.
I remember when I was a kid my mom planted polk salad in
our garden. No one in the family would eat it but her and
my grand mother, as it smelled disgusting and you had to
cook it right in order to not get sick.
The good part about it is birds would eat the berries and
get sick and stay away from the garden.
The bad part of the good part is they would fly into the
exterior walls, windows, etc.
It was really odd to see a bird “gazing” ahead, almost
completely unaware that you were walking up to it.
It was if they were stoned.
