the added difficulty of posting is another burden on top of the disarray and chaos of my house since the demolition/installation of the kitchen began this AM. It’s disruptive to the dogs and to me!
A+++ xsbaby begins her college career on WEDS. Today one of her friends was picking her up to go down to American U in DC, where one of their classmates moved in this weekend, so they are going to visit him. Joey leaves for college on Weds himself, so it’s a last chance for them to get together before everyone goes their separate ways.
It’s sad and exciting at the same time, isn’t it? My kiddo has the dentist after school and is pretty grouchy about it. This is our third week, if you count the half day Friday on which they started.
Here I am-my cell phone is toast after 4 years, so I had to call to get another sent-it has become a must have, so I looked at what seemed dozens online and picked one...
Now I have to find a couple maps for my contractor compadre, so we can check out a truly remote location before we even consider a bid for work there-it sounds like the customer is lowballing the location to me...

But 98% of them are smart phones and there is a significant portion of the population who do not want a smart phone. I just want a phone. If I want the internet, I’ll use my computer. I don’t want to be forced into paying twice or three times as much for a phone than what I need.
You need a Jitterbug.
I need a phone for calls and texting and taking pictures is useful. I don’t need any online ability. I text more than make calls.
i rarely talk on the phone, don’t really like to! text and email a great deal. i do like having the online capability and i use it constantly. i can check and respond to email no matter where i am or what i am doing, and we quite often, even with navigation in all of our vehicles, end up using the navigation on the phone. i have used the phone to check pronunciation of old testament names in the readings, en route to read at Mass on Sundays.
kitchen is stripped bare. all the cabinets and appliances are out and the ceramic backsplash was chipped off. he has to redo some wallboard and is replacing all of the plumbing stuff below my sink with brand new. He has one of the cabinet doors laid out on the kitchen table, with about 7 or so granite samples for us to decide on. He is very efficient and very neat and clean. though i do think i probably have asbestosis from the dust in there while looking at the samples ; )
How fun, to shop in your own kitchen for countertops!

I’m traveling tomorrow so thread will probably be late. Or, given FR lately, maybe non-existant.
