My favorite Blake Edwards' comedy(at least the non-Inspector Clouseau ones) is being aired tonight on Turner Classic Movies at 8PM Eastern Standard Time.
"Push the button, Max."

One of my All-Time Favorites.
“Push the Button, Max!”
“Max, you idiot, WE’RE Car #5!”
“Welcome to Boracho Honey!”
“Well, you’re an emancipated woman, and I’m an emancipated man.....”
LOL!

The musical score by Henry Mancini was also excellent.

The Great Race?
Al Sharpston isn’t going to be happy. He understands what that really means, and he’ll want rep-ar-aaaa-tions.

In 1965, when I was a kid, we went to Los Angeles for a vacation, and I remember that the premiere of “The Great Race” happened while we were there. I saw the movie at that time, and, at 12 years old, I thought it was hilarious. I hope I still find it funny when I watch it tonight.

Thanks for the post. I haven’t seen this since I was a kid. Besides, the Giants are getting their butts handed to them by the Colts anyways >:(
