CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. Decked in camouflage, a Beaver County bride and groom said "I do" Saturday at the new Field & Stream store opening in Cranberry Township. At the wedding was a very special guest to surprise the couple.
It was Mehgan Cook's dream to walk down the aisle to duck calls. Surrounded by friends, family, and a couple hundred strangers, the 26-year-old bride married Charlie Miller in the middle of the new outdoors store.
The bride wore a camouflage sash, the groom wore his boots, and the two married under an arbor of wild animals, but the couple wasn't prepared for what would happen after they exchanged vows.
Willie Robertson, of the A&E reality show "Duck Dynasty," surprised his super-fans with his congratulations.
"It was like Christmas morning when you're a little kid," Miller said. "I was like, 'Oh my goodness.'"
"That's a first for me and it's good to be a part of that. They look like my kind of folks," said Robertson, who was at the store opening to sign autographs.
"I was going to cancel the wedding because we heard Willie was coming," Cook said.
It was the bride's mother's idea to have the wedding at the store.
"Ever since I was a little kid, that's all we did -- hunt and fish -- so I didn't want to be in no church in a tuxedo. I wanted to feel comfortable and just have fun," Miller said.
The folks at Field & Stream played along and convinced Robertson to surprise the couple and their families, a dream for Cook who never thought she'd get married.
So COOL! No, I couldn't go. Mrs p6's sister was in Saturday along with one of the brothers from Mercer.
We had a wonderful family day and a lot of the junk we've been storing in the garage went with Mrs p6's sister back to Ohio...WOO-HOO!
The more I see DD the more I like it. REALLY wanted to go to see him but with relatives coming in it just wasn't possible. Catch yunz all Monday.
We had a (hetero) couple get married at Michigan International Speedway this morning.

Works out I'm almost done unless something comes up so I might be able to FReep and maybe even catch a bit of Svengoolie.
Well...probably not but I can dream, LOL!
At first I couldn’t get the link to work. Thought it was our IT blocking it. Finally got it to work. COOL! Wasn’t Michigan last week? Danica and Jr ...hmmm, LOL!
This weekend. Truck race was today.
The cup cars were getting some serious speed. Better than 200mph practice laps.
If it’s an afternoon race I’ll be on the FR live thread.
There was a couple who got engaged at the ballgame last Friday. It’s minor league ball so there is all sorts of stuff happening between innings. A mom and her daughter did the “spin around 7 times with your forehead on a bat then run down to a pylon and back” game. As soon as the mom made it around the pylon and started back, her beau unfurled a huge “will you marry me?” banner. Big round of applause from the crowd.
Yup No lights at MIS.
I only live 6 or 7 miles away. The unseasonably cool weather makes for a nice day for a race.
"Ever since I was a little kid, that's all we did -- hunt and fish -- so I didn't want to be in no church in a tuxedo. I wanted to feel comfortable and just have fun," Miller said.
Is this a great country, or what?
Oh that’s so AWESOME! We spent the day in Pittsburgh. Went down to the point and sat on the fountain and watched boats go by. Went to dinner at Fatheads in the Southside. Wanted to go to Coraopolis (well, Groveton) but it was getting late.

Was the fountain on? It had to be shut down because there was algae floating in it. LOL! how many times have I been in ponds with algae!
For a family that does not want plablicity or so they claim . They sure seek it out big time
Never saw that. Have a link?
FWIW I would think a family that is promoting a business as well as Faith would want plablicity...umm...publicity.
Rose interviewed Willie on the show Friday.
Good on them. I’ve only seen a few of the DD shows. It’s not really my cup of beer, but hey... They seem to be a decent enough bunch. But to go out like that for a serious fan and make their wedding a thing to remember... That’s a class act. Whoever they are.
