What are the chemicals used to break down the corn? Maybe that is the culprit. How about dextros and maltodextrin? What is done to the corn in make those food additives? I am very serious here, I would like to know.

I don't know what trace chemicals can be found in this particular product. I do know that it is highly unlikely trace amounts of any compounds will negatively affect your health, and that it is highly unlikely they will cause an allergic reaction.
I did manage to find a pretty decent schematic for how HFCS is manufactured, so I linked it below. As I said earlier, fructose is fructose and glucose is glucose no matter what the source. Also, your body can't tell the difference between glucose and fructose from HFCS, or glucose and fructose from any other source.
