In the USA for the last 40 years we've had a situation in which blacks are disproportionally represented at the upper levels of sports and entertainment, and underrepresented in pretty much everything else except crime. Several explanations are available:

1. Blacks are physically superior and intellectually inferior.
2. Blacks are interested in sports and entertainment - and apply themselves in those areas - but have little interest in anything else and therefore don't bother.
3. The white power structure in sports and entertainment is not racist, but the white power structure in all other areas is racist, keeping down qualified blacks.
4a. The public schools - typically under the control of liberal, pro-Democratic administrators - are guilty of the crime of low expectations, and assume blacks cannot learn and so do not try to teach them.
4b. Blacks in public schools are all too often a discipline problem, do not care about learning, and underachieve or drop out, despite the best efforts of teachers and administrators.

So tell me, Oprah, which is it, and what should we do about it?

Maybe even some 4c - 75% of blacks are born illegitimately, likely into one-parent homes where they'll get little parental guidance and discipline, will grow up in conditions of poverty with little hope of bettering those conditions, and be surrounded every day by siblings and classmates in like circumstances - not much likelihood they'll get much encouragement to do well in school, live by society's rules, or grow up to form stable families of their own......

(Hope the Monorail is still running in Seattle like it was fifty years ago when I spent time at Fort Lewis)....
