How many types of citizens are there? Natural, Naturalized, and Honorary. Where does Cruz fit in?

Possibly we’ve already had a Canadian president.

Chet Arthur, who was arguably born in Canada to a British father, who became a US citizen long after his birth, and an American mother.

IOW, pretty much the exact same situation as Cruz.

To be fair, nobody ever proved Arthur was born in Canada rather than Vermont, as he claimed. The issue was raised by his opponents, but it doesn’t appear the voters gave much of a damn.

A "Canadian" is closer to natural born than an Indonesian is.At least the Canadian born fellow has American citizenship. The Indonesian never rectified his own situation and is an illegal alien.

Birth theories and real or fake birth certificates are not relevant for the kenyan. He took Indonesian citizenship, via his parents, which required that his American citizenship be renounced. To be an American Citizen he must formally renounce his Indonesian citizenship and naturalize as an American citizen. He did not do that.Hi is an alien without a visa, an illegal alien.

if both his parents were us citizens, he is too. canada doesn’t give you citizenship just cause you fall out there. you get the citizenship of your parents.

I know we’ve had massive immigration in the last 40 or so years, but has it really become so difficult to find a candidate who was born in the flipping United States?!
