I have an opportunity to explain firsthand what racism means and what injustice means, said the Miami artist, who plans to respond to each piece of hate mail on her website. Huong reveals George Zimmerman lookalike in painting is really her assistant. She unveiled the mural at Florida state capitol and plans to take it on the road. The Miami artist behind the controversial We Are All Trayvon Martin mural says she wont back down despite threats and volumes of hate mail.
This is not new to me, Huong told the Daily News.
Huongs mural shows a George Zimmerman look-alike blasting a hooded Trayvon Martin as Martin Luther King Jr. bleeds in the background. Martins face has been replaced by a mirror.
The person in the hoodie could be you, Huong said. It could be me.
Her mural is an ACCURATE depiction of the encounter between GZ & TM - but only in the minds of the GZ Haters. It is their sacred belief. No amount of irrefutable evidence will shake them from their “principled” belief, Ms. Huong included.
Since seeing DeeDee aka Trayvon Martin’s girlfriend aka Diamond Eugene aka Rachel Jeantel on the witness stand, I became suspicious of the many hours on the phone with TM. No 17 year old boy would speak obsessively, for hours on end with a girl and text them romantic messages unless he was smitten. Considering that DD-TMGF-DE-RJ is likely not his type of female (her naked body doesn’t show up in his porn collection) I began to suspect that TM never saw her in person and was tricked into believing she was a prettier girl.
Just a theory.
Another vote for violent criminals.
I’m sure she tallied yours as a threat, especially if you’re local. You might want a printout of your email for when the police arrive. I’m not kidding.
Then you’re near me. Fire away! What a little piece of crap she is! Damn these people piss me off.
LOL! I like the heart.
Don’t ya just love the self-righteous indignation pose?
“Hate Mail” - in reality, this disgusting painting should be termed a “hate mural”, and most of the mail she’s receiving is likely just an honest assessment of that fact. But that would mean we live in a world where some semblance of journalism exists.
It hit a hundred degrees in Houston yesterday. That could not POSSIBLY be me in the hoodie.
It’s just too hot.
